Gregor Biber could soon join the Austrian national team. The Rögle BK defender was defeated 3-7 yesterday in the crucial final away to Skellefteå. Particularly bitter: Rögle was still comfortably in the lead with 2-0 after the first third, but was unable to defend this lead. With the defeat, the final series was clearly lost 1:4.
Nevertheless, Biber and his team have shown morale beforehand. In the quarterfinals, Rögle made an impressive comeback against Färjestad – after a 3-0 series deficit, they turned the series around. The season in Sweden has now ended, which means that, according to the “Kleine Zeitung”, it seems realistic that the ÖEHV talent will soon join the national team.
