Two well-known offensive forces with a past in the
ICE Hockey League
are currently causing movement on the transfer market:
Austin Ortega and
Anthony Salinitri
Despite convincing performances, they are again without a permanent club – and should be very interesting for many teams.
Austin Ortega
The American Ortega, most recently with the
Dresden Ice Lions
active, also showed his qualities in the DEL. In the 2025/26 season, the winger recorded 39 points in 52 games – solid numbers in an overall difficult team environment.
However, the 32-year-old experienced his strongest years before
EHC Munichwhere he broke the 50-point mark twice and even won the championship in 2023. Ortega has also already impressed in the ICEHL, among other things
EC Salzburg.
Anthony Salinitri
Salinitri recently presented himself even more conspicuously. The Italian-Canadian played a strong season with the
Aalborg Pirates in Denmark and had 42 points in 36 games there.
The center had already demonstrated his offensive qualities in the ICEHL – for example at
HC Bolzano or that
Graz99ers. Particularly noteworthy: In his career, the 28-year-old has over 100 scorer points in the ICEHL.
