Memorial Cup Tournament
The Raiders headed to the Memorial Cup, the first in franchise history, and end up winning the tournament, beating the Shawinigan Cataractes 6-1 in the final. Hodgson ended up with a goal and 13 assists and was named the tournament MVP
NHL Draft
Hodgson was selected in the fifth round, 83rd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 1983 NHL draft. He would play 114 NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks, collecting 45 career goals and 45 assists.
Post NHL Career
After his NHL career, Hodgson headed to Switzerland to play in the National Liga from 1994 to 2005. He retired at the end of the 2005 season.

Hodgson was one of the best Prince Albert Raiders ever to play for the team, and backed it up by scoring 188 goals with 305 assists during his three seasons, he led the team to its first Memorial Cup in franchise history and has his name in the Raider record book 19 times. An article on PA Now has him listed as the #2 Raiders of All-time, and the Western Hockey League has him in their “Top 50 Players of All-time” at #27.
