Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers lead the way with nine WHL alumni apiece. Kelowna, Portland, and Seattle each produced seven alumni. More from Brian Wiebe HERE.
Gibb re-signs with Gothiques

Defenseman Dan Gibb (266GP, 8G, 25A with Prince George ’09-’13) re-signed with Gothiques d’Amiens of France’s top professional hockey league. Last season, his second with the team, Gibb had two assists in 18 games. Gibb was originally an eighth-round pick of the Seattle Thunderbirds but did not play a game for the team.
Bassen signs with EV Weiden

Forward Chad Bassen (238GP, 44G, 66A with Regina, Vancouver, Medicine Hat, and Everett ’00-’04) has signed with EV Weiden of the Germany3 league. In 2020-21 as a member of the EHC Freiburg DEL2 team, Bassen scored 21 goals and had nine assists in 45 games.
Jaeger signs extension with Scorpions

Goaltender Brett Jaeger (110GP, 34-56-10, 3.74GAA, 886sv% with Medicine Hat, Vancouver, and Saskatoon ’00-’04) has been signed to an extension by the Hanover Scorpions of the Germany3 league. Jaeger played 32 games with the Scorpions in 2020-21 and had a 2.60 goals-against average. Jaeger has twice won the DEL2 Championship.
