Portland Winterhawks’ centre and Vegas’ first-rounder from 2017 Cody Glass survived the latest round of cuts and will remain with the Golden Knights. The 1999-born Glass put up 102 points in 64 games with Portland last year, and should have a real chance to stick with Vegas this season.
In the same breath, Vegas sent 1998-born Tri City defenseman Dylan Coghlan to AHL camp with the Chicago Wolves.
Canadiens sign Josh Brook to entry-level contract
The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with defenseman Josh Brook.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Moose Jaw Warriors’ 1999-born defenseman Josh Brook to an entry-level, three-year deal. Brook missed a big chunk of last season with the Warriors due to a wrist injury, but still amassed 32 points over 45 games. The 56th overall pick of the 2017 draft is poised for a big year and will see top-pairing minutes after fellow d-man Kale Clague’s departure to the pros.

The Pittsburgh Penguins trimmed their camp roster on Friday, giving the Lethbridge Hurricanes a huge boost with centre Jordy Bellerive and d-man Calen Addison set to return. The third returnee, 1999-born centre Justin Almeida, will rejoin the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Vancouver Canucks made cuts on Friday, sending Kelowna Rockets winger Kole Lind to their AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets. Lind will begin his first full professional season, one year removed from his 95-point campaign in his 19-year old year in Kelowna.
