Spokane Chiefs 2019-2020 schedule highlights

The Spokane Chiefs will see their schedule altered with the departure of the Kootenay ICE. The team typically played a few extra games against the ICE while they were in the Central Division. With the team’s move, the Chiefs will play a few extra intra-divisional games.

The Chiefs will start the season on the road on September 20th and 21st, opening with games against the Kamloops Blazers and the Kelowna Rockets.

Saturday, September 28th will see the team host the Tri-City Americans for their home-opener.

The Americans will enjoy a seven-game homestand in late October and into early November. On October 23rd the team will host the Brandon Wheat Kings. This is followed by games against the Portland Winterhawks, Prince Albert Raiders, Prince George Cougars, Everett Silvertips (twice) and the Kelowna Rockets.

The team’s trek into the Central Division is split between two different weeks. February 19th the team will be in Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes. They will follow that night up with games in Swift Current and Medicine Hat. On March 4th, Spokane heads back to Alberta for games against the Edmonton Oil Kings, Red Deer Rebels, and the Calgary Hitmen.

The Chiefs do spend six games away from home, from December 10th through to the holiday break, the team will play the Seattle Thunderbirds twice, the Victoria Royals twice with the Everett Silvertips squished in between. Following the holiday break, the team will play again at the ShoWare Center against the Thunderbirds.

The Chiefs play an early three games in three nights, October 4th the team hosts Seattle, followed by a road date with Tri-City, then back home to host Everett. The team then has it’s only other three-in-three on November 15th, 16th, and 17th. All three of those game will be played on the road as the team is in Portland, Tri-City, and Everett.
