NHL Draft rounds six and seven – WHL round up

David Tendeck (G) – Vancouver Giants

Tendeck was selected in the sixth round, 158th overall to the Arizona Coyotes. Tendeck played in 48 WHL games for the Giants and posted a 25-16-3-2 record. He had three shutouts and a .912 save percentage. He also posted a 3.02 goals against average. The Giants goaltender played in five playoff games and was 2-2 with a .868 save percentage and 3.60 goals against average.

Alex Kannok-Leipert (D) – Vancouver Giants

Kannok-Leipert was selected in the sixth round, 161st overall to the Washington Capitals. Kannok-Liepert played in 60 regular season games and added five goals to go with 16 assists. He played in six WHL playoff games, he did not register a point.

Dawson Barteaux (D) – Red Deer Rebels

Barteaux was selected in the sixth round, 168th overall to the NHL Draft host Dallas Stars. Barteaux played in 64 games, scoring three times and adding 29 assists. He also added three assists in five playoff games with the Rebels.

Jermaine Loewen (F) – Kamloops Blazers

Loewen was selected in the seventh round, 199th overall to the Dallas Stars. Loewen played in 66 games and posted 36 goals and 28 assists.

Trey Fix-Wolansky (F) – Edmonton Oil Kings

Fix-Wolansky was selected in the seventh round, 204th overall to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Fix-Wolansky played in all but one of the Oil Kings games, he scored 32 goals and added 57 assists.

Eric Florchuk (F) – Saskatoon Blades

Florchuk was selected with the very last pick in the NHL entry draft at 217th, to the Washington Capitals. Florchuk was dealt from the Royals to the Blades and scored nine goals to go with 12 assists in 28 games with the Blades.
