Looking to continue the recent dominance, the Everett Silvertips pay a visit to Kamloops to battle the Blazers. Over their last eight meetings, Everett has won six out of those eight meetings. Kamloops has been the busier of the two teams so far this season as this will be the Blazers’ seventh game already this season. Kamloops is looking to continue its hot play of late winning their last three games, including a 8-1 dominate victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Wednesday. Everett is playing in its fourth game of the season, looking to rebound after a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Kelowna Rockets. Everett’s lone victory on the year was a 26 save, 6-0 shut-out victory over the Victoria Royals.

Everett has been paced by a couple of overage players so far this season. One of those players is Bryce Kindopp. In his fourth full season in the WHL, Kindopp has six points in three games including three goals. Last season, Kindopp posted career highs in goals (39), assists (34), and points (73), in 67 games. Bryce was recently named captain of the Silvertips after attending Colorado Avalanche training camp as a free agent. In his second full season with Kamloops, Centazzo scored 18 times last season, while also picking up 33 assists, for 51 points all career highs. Helping Orrin up front is newly named captain Zane Franklin. Franklin is in his 20-year-old season and was acquired by the Blazers during the summer of 2018. He led the Blazers in scoring during the 2018-19 season with 28 goals, 40 assists and 68 points. Rounding out the top line is centerman Connor Zary. After posting 67 points last season, his second in the WHL, Zary has collected nine points in six games. Combined, the Blazers top line has 27 points in their first 6 games. The Blazers are loaded upfront this season with the addition of rookie Logan Stankoven. Stankoven led the WHL in points in the pre-season with 15 and has posted five points in six games so far. Late last month Kamloops made a move to boost their forward group even more, acquiring 20-year-old forward Ryan Hughes. In exchange, the Blazers sent a 2nd round WHL Bantam Draft pick in 2022, a 3rd round WHL Bantam Draft pick in 2021 and 18-year-old listed forward Jerzy Orchard to Kamloops Blazers.
