Today’s Gameday Preview: Spokane leads Everett 3-0, and action in the east

DUBNetwork Feature game of the night: Everett Silvertips @ Spokane Chiefs (Spokane leads 3-0) 7:05 PM PDT

The Everett Silvertips could be taking the ice for the final time this season without a win tonight on the road in Spokane. The Chiefs have been parallel in finding a way against Dustin Wolf, while also shutting down the Everett offence almost completely in the last two games.

Through three games, Everett has been limited to just five goals while the Chiefs have been getting after it, lighting the lamp 12 times in that span.

In Game 3, Bailey Brkin earned himself first star honours after stopping 29 of 30 shots he faced making some spectacular saves in the effort.

Adam Beckman also stuck out offensively posting a goal and an assist in the win. Through eight playoff games in 2019, he’s notched eight points.

The overall momentum of the Chiefs right now is something that seemingly nobody has been able to deal with.

Even though they might not be high up in the overall standings, don’t let that fool you. The Chiefs may just be peaking at the right time.

Other action:

Saskatoon Blades @ Prince Albert Raiders (Series tied 2-2)

  • Home ice advantage has proven to be the cause for victory in all four games of this series. Game 4 was all Blades as they skated into a 4-1 win. The first goal hasn’t been important for these teams, it’s been the latter half of the third period that seems to make the difference.
