Today’s Gameday Preview: Saturday December 8th, 2018

Feature Game of the Night: Victoria Royals @ Vancouver Giants, 7 PM PST

The two B.C. division teams face-off tonight in what should be a big Teddy Bear Toss crowd tonight at the Pacific Coliseum in the Giants’ last game there this season.

The Victoria Royals (13-12-0-0) are looking to rebound after a tough stretch lately and have gone 3-7-0-0 in their last ten games, and have seen their lead for second place in the ever so tight BC Division evaporate. The reason for the stretch looks to mostly be due to the absence of Griffen Outhouse who succumbed to an injury on November 28th. Now that the netminder is back, the Royals are looking to rule once again. In Outhouse’s return last game, the Royals struggled to generate any offence only throwing 16 shots on goal. as the Rockets blanked them 2-0.

The Vancouver Giants (20-6-2-0) are looking to take advantage of what will be a loud and energy filled arena tonight as they return to the Pacific Coliseum for their second, and last game of the season at the historic ice sheet. The Giants are blowing everyone else out of the water in BC, but are neck and neck with the Everett Silvertips for top spot in the Western Conference, currently the Silvertips sit five points ahead while the G-men have three games in hand.

Leading Scorers:

Kaid Oliver- VIC- (14G-8A) No points in his last six games
