Winnipeg ICE Krebs off to Vegas

Winnipeg ICE Peyton Krebs has been waiting for this day for a long time.

Today was the day he would find out which NHL team would draft him, and the answer was the Vegas Golden Knights.

The impact winger went 17th overall, the fourth WHL player taken in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Last year, when the now Winnipeg franchise, was in Kootenay, Krebs was solid offensively with 68 points in 64 games.

He also tore it up at the U-18 World Championships with 10 points in seven games.

Krebs will now continue to rehab from a torn Achilles Tendon that he suffered a few weeks ago in a freak accident on the ice.

DUBNetwork’s Darnell Duff will follow up with Peyton for comment on this life-changing day.
