WHL Players off to NHL Camps

The beginning of the WHL season brings a lot of hope, and optimism for teams, fans and players. The Western Hockey League is always well represented at NHL training camps so it will come as no surprise that this year 115 WHL’ers will be making the best impressions they can at their respective camps. At the top of the pile is Portland who is sending ten players to NHL camps.  For the sake of this article we used all ’98 born players, including players who have signed a NHL contract. Those signed opverage players – who are eligible to play in the AHL – are italicized.

This list could expand, if it does, we will update it.

The one roster that has not been released so far belongs to the New York Islanders. We have included Kieffer Bellows and David Quenneville anyways as they are signed prospects and will assuredly be at camp.
