Today’s Gameday Preview: Saturday November 17th, 2018

DUBNetwork Feature Game of the night, Vancouver Giants @ Everett Silvertips 7:05 PST

The Vancouver Giants (14-4-2-0) hot off their 10 goal performance Friday night, are set to take on the Silvertips (15-7-0-0) in a battle of the west.

Both teams lead their respective divisions, both teams are also red hot when it comes to offence, Everett has 21 goals in their last ten compared to Vancouver’s 17. Goaltending could be the difference in this one for either team, there’s nothing tougher for an offence than facing a hot goaltender. Both David Tendeck (VAN), and Dustin Wolf (EVT) have the capability to do just that, both posting career best seasons between the pipes.

Tristen Nielsen

Tristen Nielsen seems to have found his stride in Vancouver earning his first two goals as a Giant last night, and has three points in four games with the club. The post-Malm era Giants struggled for offence last weekend against Prince George, but with the return of Sourdif from the U-17 tournament, and Nielsen getting the monkey off his back, this Giants offence is not one to mess with. The big thing will be trying to keep it going from last game against Regina into Everett tonight.

For the Tips, the key will be making sure they don’t let Vancouver dictate the start, and slow the game down from the run and gun Giant style hockey. Dustin Wolf must also play a big part for his side if he wants to come up with a win tonight.
