People’s Power Rankings: October 3rd, 2018

Updated 10/03/2018

Eastern Conference

1

0 Prince Albert Raiders

Undefeated, three goals in 16 seconds against the Blades and they are getting Noah Gregor from the AHL.

2

0 Brandon Wheat Kings

Beat a tough Lethbridge team with 8 goals. Remain undefeated as well

3

0 Edmonton Oil Kings

Four wins in a row to start the season. Could be higher but quality of teams they beat is not high.

4

0 Saskatoon Blades

Started out strong, did not look good in loss to Prince Albert. Some growing pains with young but skilled team

5

0 Lethbridge Hurricanes

We're highly ranked heading into the season, allowing 8 against Brandon sets them back slightly

6

0 Medicine Hat Tigers

Got some reinforcements on the back end coming back from the AHL, team should improve quickly

7

0 Red Deer Rebels

Poor start, followed by three straight wins against lesser quality teams.

8

0 Moose Jaw Warriors

Started slow, fared well against the Raiders then won their first of the season

9

0 Kootenay Ice

Started the season off on the right foot, then lost back to back games against the Chiefs

10

0 Calgary Hitmen

Have yet to win this season, came close in their last game but blew a two goal lead late and lost in overtime to the Rebels

11

0 Regina Pats

Suffering a little bit of a Memorial Cup hangover, lots of turnover on this team from last season

12

0 Swift Current Broncos

A stretch of play that saw them goalless for more than the equivalent of three games. Yet to register a single point in the standings.

Western Conference

1

0 Victoria Royals

The only remaining undefeated team in the West, feeling good enough to trade away an NHL drafted forward

2

0 Spokane Chiefs

Offense is firing on all cylinders, 18 goals in four contests. Will feel the loss of Jaret Anderson-Dolan while he starts the year in LA

3

0 Vancouver Giants

Lost once in four games, hot goalie was able to cool the offense off.

4

0 Seattle Thunderbirds

Exceeding expectations early.

5

0 Tri-City Americans

Playing well despite not getting Rasmussen or Valimaki back from the NHL.

6

0 Everett Silvertips

Lowest scoring team in the West, only Swift Current has scored less goals than them. Still managed to come out with a .500 record.

7

0 Kamloops Blazers

Started out strong with back to back wins, then struggled in back to back losses

8

0 Portland Winterhawks

Struggled early, the return of Glass and Blichfeld will have a positive impact, in time.

9

0 Prince George Cougars

Not much love for the Cougars, the team has not played well despite gaining points in three of five games

10

0 Kelowna Rockets

Not your fathers Rockets, team finally tasted victory in their fifth game of the season
