Prince Albert Raiders forward Justin Nachbaur returned from his two-game suspension on Saturday night and made an impact early on scoring on just his second shift of the game. However, the goal was not enough to lead the Raiders to victory as they dropped a tight game to the Oil Kings in overtime by a score of 4-3. The loss marks Prince Albert’s first on home ice in these playoffs and sixth consecutive playoff overtime loss. The series now moves to Edmonton for Game 3 on Tuesday night with it tied up at one apiece.

The Spokane Chiefs were without power forward Luc Smith for Game 2 due to an apparent leg injury. It appeared the Chiefs would be fine without Smith as they grabbed a 2-0 lead early in the second period. However, the Giants rebounded with four unanswered goals to steal the victory from Spokane’s grasp for a 2-0 series lead. The Giants will head to Spokane for Game Three on Tuesday night hoping to put the Chiefs on the brink of elimination.
