IIHF announces changes to World Juniors

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IIHF World Juniors have been changed to a single location. Edmonton, which has already hosted the NHL qualifying and playoff rounds, will host the 2021 event with no fans in the building. Because of this, Edmonton and Red Deer will now host the 2022 event, with fans in the buildings. The tickets were already sold out for this year’s event and the tickets will be honoured for next year’s event. There will be a two-week window for those who will be unable to use the tickets to request a refund.
