Update on WHL’s trade freeze 

DUBNetwork has learned the WHL will lift its trade freeze on roster players this Monday at 9 am Mountain time. The freeze had been in place since the trade deadline on January 10th and comes just under two weeks before the WHL Bantam Draft on April 22nd.

Mitchell re-signs with IceHogs

Garrett Mitchell (264 GP, 51 G, 61 A with the Regina Pats from 2006-11) re-signed with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs for the 2020-21 season. Mitchell split last season between the IceHogs and Laval Rocket and the ECHL’s Reading Royals. In 57 games he notched 14 goals and 21 assists.

Friesen signs with Iserlohn in Germany

Dustin Friesen (258 GP, 26 G, 55 A with the Swift Current Broncos from 2000-04) has signed a one-year contract with Iserlohn Roosters in Germany for next season. This season he suited up for Ingolstadt in Germany scoring one goal and seven assists in 52 games as team captain.

Tambellini signs on with Rogle Angelholm in Sweden

Adam Tambellini (102 GP, 64 GP, 61 A with the Calgary Hitmen from 2013-15) has signed a two-year contract with Rogle Angelholm in Sweden. Playing for MODO Ornskoldvsvik this season, Tambellini had 28 goals and 35 assists in 37 games.
