-The younger brother of Jansen Harkins and son of Todd Harkins has left the Regina Pats.

Harkins was drafted by the Prince George Cougars while his dad was general manager there. At the January trade deadline during the 2017-18 season, Harkins was dealt along with Jesse Gabrielle from the Cougars to the Pats.

After 17 games with the Cougars, where he had a single assist, the defenseman had another assist in 17 games over the rest of the 2017-18 season and the start of the 2018-19 campaign (17 games).

The 2000-born blue liner heads back to B.C, where he will likely play in the BCHL.

Gerla no longer with the Oil Kings

-Another player left his WHL club. The 1999-born Gerla had 29 points over 102 games between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 season. This year, the left wing was pointless through seven games.

Gerla’s future is unknown at this time. The Calgary native would likely have an opportunity somewhere in the AJHL.
