The Prince Albert Raiders have signed 2019 CHL Import Draft pick Ivan Kechkin to a WHL Player Agreement. The Russian forward split time between Russia’s U-17 and U-18 leagues registering 12 goals and 21 assists in 38 games.

The Seattle Thunderbirds have acquired 19-year-old defenseman Hunter Donohoe from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for the rights to 2002-born goaltender Louden Hogg and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
With the Thunderbirds only having six signed defensemen prior to the trade, Donahoe will have a great shot at making the Thunderbirds after being in and out of the Rebels line-up for the last two seasons. In 79 career games with the Rebels, Donohoe has three goals and two assists. Hogg played 19 games with Edina High School in Minnesota last season and posted a 2.09 GAA and .907 save percentage.

The Victoria Royals have signed Tanner Scott to a WHL Player Agreement. The native of Red Deer, Alberta suited up for the OHA Edmonton Bantam Prep team tallying 18 goals and 25 assists in 29 games before the Royals selected him in the third round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Kelowna Rockets have signed 2019 fifth-round pick John Babcock to a WHL Player Agreement. He played last season with North Vancouver Bantam A1 in the PCBHL but stats are unavailable. In five games with the MHC Selects last season, he had two assists.

The Kamloops Blazers have added local product Reagan Milburn to their 50-man protected list. The 16-year-old forward played in the BCMML last year with the Thompson Blazers and recorded 18 goals and 16 assists in 40 games. He won’t be sticking around with the team to start the year though, as he’s been removed from the Blazers training camp roster.

Speaking of the Blazers training camp roster, they’ve trimmed the group down to 31 players. There are no surprising cuts from the roster, but it is worth noting that Connor Levis has been removed from the roster, likely to protect his NCAA eligibility as he decides which path is the right one for his hockey career. The Tri-City Americans have cut their training camp roster to 36 players. 2019 third-round bantam draft pick Jake Sloan is the only signed player to be removed from the roster. His removal is not a huge shock as he is only eligible for limited action with the Americans due to his age.

The Vancouver Giants training camp roster is now at 33 players after a round of cuts. 1999-born defenseman Landon Fuller, 2000-born forwards Tyler Ho and Hunor Torszok (at Moose Jaw’s camp) and 2001-born forward Aidan Barfoot are notable players not listed on the roster.
