Daily Dose of the Dub: Thunderbirds sign Gustafson, Raiders return home from Memorial Cup

Thunderbirds sign Gustafson

For the second consecutive day, we have a first round pick signing to note as the Seattle Thunderbirds have signed Jordan Gustafson to a standard player agreement. Gustafson played this season with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Bantam AAA team this year. The five-foot-ten, 150 pound native of Ardrossan, Alberta had 33 goals and 31 assists in 33 games for the Rangers. The Thunderbirds will now look to get their other first-round pick Kevin Korchinski under contract.

Raiders return home from Memorial Cup

The Prince Albert Raiders returned home on Wednesday after being eliminated from the Memorial Cup, finishing with an 0-3 record. The Raiders will hold an official event to celebrate the remarkable season at the Art Hauser Centre on Thursday night, and it would not be a surprise to the see the Raiders fans fill that barn.
