Daily Dose of the Dub: Sogaard stones Broncos, Johnson has a heroic hat trick

Three stars of the night:

  1. Mads Sogaard (Medicine Hat)- An incredible 48 saves for the import goalie as he led his Tigers to a 2-0 victory over the Swift Current Broncos. The shutout was Sogaard’s first in the WHL.
  2. Reese Johnson (Red Deer)- The overage forward had his second hat-trick in the last three weeks and his Rebels edged the Kootenay ICE 5-4. His last goal was the OT winner.
  3. Ian Scott (Prince Albert) – No goals this time for the Raiders netminder but he did get his second straight shutout as he turned away all 26 shots the Brandon Wheat Kings fired at him in his team’s 6-0 win.
