Outhouse joins University of New Brunswick

Griffen Outhouse (196GP, 114-60-11-4, 2.77, .917 with Victoria) has committed to the University of New Brunswick Reds for the 2020-21 season. Outhouse had originally committed to the University of Alberta but then opted to play professionally for the Winnipeg Jets affiliates in the Manitoba Moose and Jacksonville IceMen. Last season in five games with the Moose Outhouse was 1-1-0-0 with a 3.70 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage. With the IceMen, Outhouse played nine games and was 1-4-2-0 with a 4.25 goals-against average and a .874 save percentage.

Ross re-signs with Admirals

Following a successful first professional season, Taylor Ross (233GP, 65G, 70A with Spokane and Lethbridge) has signed for another season with the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL. Last season, Ross played in 43 games with the Fort Wayne Komets and the Norfolk Admirals, scoring nine goals and adding nine assists.

Winterhawks draft pick commits to Notre Dame

Western Hockey League teams take a lot of risks in the late stages of the WHL Bantam Draft and the Portland Winterhawks are no different. They selected Maddox Fleming in the 12th round of the 2019 WHL Bantam draft and the Rochester, MN, USA native has opted to commit to the University of Notre Dame. Last season Fleming played for Shattuck St. Mary’s U18 Prep team and scored 14 goals to go with 38 assists in 42 games. The 5-foot-11 174-pound forward will suit up with the U.S. National U17 team this fall.
