Brandon’s Ridly Greig was given a two-game suspension for this hit Red Deer’s Byron Fancy. He will miss games against Prince George and Calgary and be eligible to return on January 18th against Moose Jaw.

There was more evidence that the rivalry between the Kelowna Rockets and Kamloops Blazers is alive and well as the two teams combined for over 230 penalty minutes in Saturday night’s barn burner. The game also featured a fight between netminders Dylan Garand and Roman Basran. Basran appeared to suffer an injury at the end of the fight but there is no word on what exactly happened.

Aiden Reeves has joined the Prince George Cougars from the Cariboo Cougars of the BCMML for the rest of the season. He’s played one game in Prince George this season going pointless.

Lost in all the madness of the WHL trade deadline was the addition of Keegan Karki by the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL. In 17 games split between the Everett Silvertips and Prince Albert Raiders, he posted a 3.41 GAA and 0.888 Save Percentage with a 9-2-2-1 record.

Fresh off a trade to the Victoria Royals, Ty Ettinger has signed with the AJHL’s Sherwood Park Crusaders. In 88 WHL games with the Brandon Wheat Kings, Vancouver Giants and Winnipeg ICE, Ettinger has two goals and nine assists.
