Kamloops Blazers defenceman Joonas Sillanpaa was given a one game suspension for the slashing major he received last night. Sillanpaa served his suspension tonight in the Blazers’ loss to the Giants. the Finnish rookie has a goal and an assist in 36 games this season.

With the suspensions to Jeff Faith and Joonas Sillanpaa, the Blazers recalled ’02 defencemen Gavin Thurston and Ethan Brandwood who both made their debuts tonight against Vancouver. Thurston made two big league hits and went -2, while Brandwood recorded one shot.
Zabransky released
The Kelowna Rockets announced Saturday that they have released import defenceman Libor Zabransky to the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League.

The Kelowna Rockets have released import defenceman Libor Zabransky and he will join the Fargo Force of the USHL immediately. Zabransky was the 51st overall pick in the 2017 CHL Import Draft and dressed in 107 career games with the Rockets, collecting four goals and 24 assists.
