11 WHL players to attend Czech U20 Camp

The list of players from the WHL includes Michael Gut (Everett Silvertips), Filip Koffer (Prince George Cougars), Martin Lang (Moose Jaw Warriors), Pavel Novak (Kelowna Rockets), Jonas Peterek (Calgary Hitmen), Martin Rysavy (Moose Jaw Warriors), Matej Toman (Swift Current Broncos), Michael Krutil (Kelowna Rockets), Simon Kubicek (Seattle Thunderbirds), Radek Kucerik (Saskatoon Blades), and Lukas Parik (Spokane Chiefs). The list does not include WHLers currently with their Extraliga teams.

Rockets loan Schwebius to Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL)

Cole Schwebius (38GP, 12-19-2-0, 3.72GAA, .893sv% with Kelowna and Seattle) has been loaned to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL. Schwebius, from Kelowna, BC, will make his first appearance in the Junior A league when he suits up for the Silverbacks. He is expected back with the Rockets in time for training camp, starting sometime after Christmas Day.

WHL’s Saskatchewan teams team up for a 50/50 raffle with Great Western Brewing

The five WHL teams in Saskatchewan have teamed up with Great Western Brewing Company to create a 50/50 they have dubbed “Hockey Harvest Lottery“. The jackpot has been beefed up to start at $75,000 CAD, and tickets will go on sale on Monday, November 16th, 2020. Ticket sales will continue until December 20th, 2020 at 11:59 pm CST. The draw will take place on December 21st at 1:00 pm CST. An early bird ticket draw will be conducted on November 27th, 2020 for a Saskatchewan WHL Team Jersey Prize Package, including a jersey from all five Saskatchewan WHL teams. To be eligible for the contest or to purchase tickets you must be 19 years of age and reside in the province of Saskatchewan. 50% of the jackpot will go to the winner while the other 50% will go to the team’s scholarship funds.
