Davidson not extended as GM of Silvertips

The Everett Silvertips CEO Zoran Rajcic announced the organization would not be extending the contract of General Manager Garry Davidson. DUBNetwork has more HERE.

Gerlach signs with AIK

Forward Max Gerlach (277GP, 141G, 110A with Medicine Hat and Saskatoon ’15-’19) has signed with AIK of HockeyAllsvenskan of Sweden. Gerlach had a successful campaign with HC Innsbruck of the ICEHL, scoring 16 goals and adding 20 assists through 48 games.

Barak signs extension with HC Slavia Praha

Defenseman Jindrich Barak (2GP,0G, 0A with Red Deer ’09-’10) has signed a contract extension with HC Slavia Praha of the Czech2 league. Last season, his fourth in the Czech2 league, saw Barak play 19 games and earn four assists. He also added an additional assist during his three playoff games. Barak was the 69th overall pick at the 2009 CHL Import Draft.

Meszaros, Ranford depart HC Slovan Bratislava

Defenseman Andrej Meszaros (59GP, 11G, 30A with Vancouver ’04-’05) has not been extended by HC Slovan Bratislava. Meszaros just completed his fifth season with the team, scoring three goals and adding six assists in 27 games in 2020-21. He also contributed two goals and four assists in 10 playoff games. Meszaros was the 16th overall selection at the 2004 CHL Import Draft.

Forward Brendan Ranford (348GP, 137G, 220A with Kamloops ’07-’13) also has not been extended by HC Slovan Bratislava. Ranford was in his first season with the team in 2020-21 and scored 12 goals along with 20 assists in 29 games. He had three goals and an assist in four playoff games. Ranford is a former seventh-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010. He went on to play one NHL game with the Dallas Stars.

Magee released by Rush

Forward Brandon Magee (318GP, 113G, 151A with Chilliwack/Victoria ’09-’15) has been released by the Rapid City Rush following six games. Magee had one point.
