Basha signed to Standard Player Agreement with Tigers

2005-born forward Andrew Basha signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Medicine Hat Tigers on Monday. Basha, a Calgary, AB native, played 2020-21 with the Calgary Royals U18 AAA team and had three assists in six games. The Tigers selected Basha in the fifth round of the 2020 WHL Draft.

Mannek signs with Grizzlies

21-year-old forward Mason Mannek (212GP, 43G, 51A with Portland) has signed with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. Mannek just completed the 2020-21 season with the Winterhawks, scoring 10 goals and adding seven assists in 24 games.

Shinnimin signs with Lulea Hockey

East St. Paul, MB forward Brendan Shinnimin (267GP, 131G, 206A with Tri-City ’07-’12) has signed with Lulea Hockey of the SHL in Sweden. Last season Shinnimin played in the DEL in Germany with Adler Mannheim, scoring nine goals and adding five assists through 25 games. He also had one goal and one assist in six playoff games. Shinnimin has 12 games of NHL experience with the Arizona Coyotes.

Schultz joins Energy

Following a single season with the Rodovre Mighty Bulls, forward Phillip Schultz (106GP, 35G, 27A with Victoria ’18-’20) has signed with the Esbjerg Energy in Denmark. Schultz scored 12 goals and added 13 assists in 40 games with Rodovre. The now 20-year-old Schultz was the 38th overall pick at the 2018 CHL Import Draft.

Fisenko leaves Ak Bars Kazan by mutual agreement

Following two seasons with the KHL’s Ak Bars Kazan squad, forward Mikhail Fisenko (179GP, 32G, 79A with Vancouver and Calgary ’08-’11) has mutually agreed to part ways with the team. In 2020-21 Fisneko scored two goals and added two assists through 40 games, and another assist in eight playoff games. The Giants selected Fisenko 51st overall at the 2008 CHL Import Draft.

Delnov signs with Neftyanik Almetievsk

Forward Alexander Delnov (140GP, 49G, 63A with Seattle ’12-’14) has signed for one season with the VHL’s Neftyanik Almetievsk. The VHL is the second tier of professional hockey in Russia. Last season with HK Tambov, Delnov scored 19 goals and added 14 assists in 44 regular-season games. He was held pointless through four playoff games. Delnov was the eighth overall pick at the 2012 CHL Import Draft.
