Kennedy releases statement on awarding of Order of Hockey in Canada

Sheldon Kennedy (175GP, 134G, 154A with Moose Jaw and Swift Current ’84-’85 & ’86-’89) has received Hockey Canada’s Order of Hockey in Canada award and released a statement. Kennedy has done a lot of work in the hockey community and beyond to make sport the safest environment in the world. Kennedy co-founded Respect Group, which mission is “Empowering people to recognize and prevent bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination (BAHD) through interactive, online training courses.”

Viedensky signs extension with HKM Zvolen

Following a 21 game season in which he scored four goals and added 10 assists, Marek Viedensky (183GP, 72G, 115A with Prince George and Saskatoon ’08-11) signed on for a second season with HKM Zvolen of Slovakia. Viedensky added two goals and seven assists in nine playoff games as HKM Zvolen won the Slovakian Extraliga Championship. The Prince George Cougars selected Viedensky 69th overall at the 2008 CHL Import Draft.

Mraz signs with HK Dukla Michalovce

Slovakian forward Bruno Mraz (63GP, 2G, 16A with Brandon ’11-’12) has signed to play 2021-22 with HK Dukla Micalovce of Slovakia. Mraz split the 2020-21 season between HC Slovan Bratislava (4GP, 0G, 0A) and HC Kosice (38GP, 13G, 17A). The Wheat Kings selected Mraz 93rd overall at the 2011 CHL Import Draft.
