Despite the team getting off to an 0-3 start, Team Canada won the gold medal at the IIHF Men’s World Championships. The team needed an overtime goal from Nick Paul to take down the Fins 3-2. Adin Hill, Darcy Kuemper, Braden Schneider, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, and Brandon Hagel were the Western Hockey League alumni on the team along with current Vancouver Giants Head Coach Michael Dyck.

Forward Anthony Bardaro (266GP, 90G, 100A with Spokane and Prince Albert ’08-’13) has signed with HC Pustertal of ICEHL for the 2021-22 season. Bardaro spent 2020-21 playing for HC Bolzano, also of ICEHL, scoring 12 goals and adding 16 assists through 45 regular-season games. He also contributed five goals and four assists in 16 playoff games.
