Blackhawks add Teply to taxi squad

Forward Michal Teply (53GP, 29G, 34A with Winnipeg) has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs to the Chicago Blackhawks taxi squad. Being on the taxi squad does not guarantee a skater to play, Teply is now that much closer to seeing NHL game action. The Blackhawks selected Teply in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft.

Tendeck records first professional shutout

Goaltender David Tendeck recorded his first professional shutout last night as the Rapid City Rush defeated the Wichita Thunder 3-0. Tendeck made 27 saves and assisted on the game’s final goal. While with the Vancouver Giants, Tendeck had 10 shutouts over 145 games played. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes.

Bowey assigned to IceHogs

Just one day after signing with the Chicago Blackhawks, Madison Bowey (259GP, 58G, 114A with Kelowna ’10-’15) has been assigned to the Rockford IceHogs. It will be Bowey’s third AHL team after playing with the Hershey Bears and the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Steffler signs in Austria

Devin Steffler (120GP, 1G, 10A with Kelowna ’18-’20) has signed with RB Hockey Juniors in the AlpsHL. As a dual citizen, Steffler was able to participate in two seasons of hockey in the United States as a member of the Colorado Thunderbirds. This is Steffler’s second time playing in Austria, he previously played for Okanagan HC Europe for two seasons.
