Daily Dose of the DUB: Bilous, Ernst, and Cordel loaned out, alumni signings

 

Bilous loaned to Estevan Bruins

Boston Bilous (84GP, 25-35-6-2, 3.50GAA, .874sv% with Edmonton, Prince Albert, and Moose Jaw) has been loaned to the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL until December 20th. It is expected that Bilous will be in training camp with the Warriors after Christmas.

Ernst loaned to Saskatchewan senior league team

Ethan Ernst (119GP, 7G, 18A with Kelowna) has been loaned to the Grenfell Sr. Spitfires of the Qu’Appelle Valley Hockey League in Saskatchewan through December 20, 2020. It is expected that the 18-year-old forward will be in Kelowna for the start of training camp.

Larson loaned to Saskatchewan senior league team

Cordel Larson (125GP, 22G, 35A with Spokane) has also been loaned to the Grenfell Sr. Spitfires of the Qu’Appelle Valley Hockey League. It is expected that the 19-year-old forward will be in Spokane for the start of training camp.

Bukarts signs with Dinamo Riga

Rihards Bukarts (192GP, 92G, 98A with Brandon and Portland ’13-’16) has signed with Dinamo Riga of the KHL on a try-out contract. Bukarts previously played 14 games with Riga back in 2017-18 where he scored a single goal. Last season Bukarts played with Dusseldorfer EG of the DEL.

Kral loaned to HC Kometa Brno

Filip Kral (154GP, 31G, 89A with Spokane ’17-’20) has been loaned by the Toronto Maple Leafs to HC Kometa Brno of the Czech league. Kral has already spent seven games with HC Prerov of the Czech2 league, posting two goals and eight assists in seven games.

Orban and DEAC part ways

Blake Orban (254GP, 16G, 50A with Vancouver and Edmonton ’10-’16) has been released by mutual agreement from DEAC of the Erste Liga. It is believed that Orban was on the team as a replacement for a long-term injury and that player has returned to the team.

Koren returns to HK Olimpija Ljubljana

Gal Koren (36GP, 1G, 2A with Kelowna ’10-’11) has returned to HK Olimpija Ljubljana of AplsHL in Europe. Previously Koren has spent seven seasons with the club.
