Victoria Royals defenseman Will Warm has been suspended for one game for “accumulation of kneeing penalties”. He will miss Victoria’s first game after the holiday break against the Vancouver Giants and be eligible to return on December 28th against Prince George.
Koffer and Lang returned to WHL
Five players have been released from Czech WJC camp – forwards Jaroslav Broz, Filip Koffer, Martin Lang, defenseman Miroslav Kukla and goalie Jan Bednar.

Prince George Cougars forward Filip Koffer and Kamloops Blazers forward Martin Lang have been returned to the WHL meaning they won’t get to play in front of their home country’s fans when the World Juniors open in the Czech Republic on Thursday.

Kelowna Rockets forward Nolan Foote tallied two goals and added an assist and Portland Winterhawks goaltender Joel Hofer made eight saves on 10 shots in 28 minutes of action as Canada defeated last year’s tournament champions Finland in World Junior Pre-Tournament action.

We didn’t mention this yesterday as there was no Daily Dose, but Hunter Shinkaruk (211 GP, 105 G, 120 A with the Medicine Hat Tigers from 2010-14) has signed in the KHL with the Kunlun Red Star. The former first-round pick of the Vancouver Canucks scored four goals and three assists with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers in 20 games before being released to pursue this opportunity.
