Red Deer Rebels forward Jaxsen Wiebe was suspended for one game for this knee-on-knee hit against Winnipeg on Friday night. Wiebe sat out Saturday’s game against Calgary and will be eligible to play Wednesday against Lethbridge

The Vancouver Giants have been fined $250 for what the league is calling a “warm-up violation” on Friday night against the Kamloops Blazers.
Garand leaves with lower-body injury

Kamloops Blazers goaltender Dylan Garand was injured after being rammed into by Vancouver Giants forward Tristen Nielsen. Garand did not return to the game and Head Coach Shaun Clouston was unsure of his timetable for a return.

Matthew Wedman did not play in the second half of a back-to-back with the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night. Cole Schweibus was projected to be the starting goalie but Roman Basran ended up between the pipes to start the game.

Blake Lyda was healthy enough to be the back-up for the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday against Portland. He last played against the Medicine Hat Tigers on January 4th. This news allowed the team to return Thomas Milic to his CSSHL team.
