Juraj Holly (11GP, 1-6-0-0, 3.93 GAA, .869sv% with Calgary ’10-’11) has signed with HK Spisska Nova Ves of Slovakia2 hockey league. Holly was a second-round pick of the Hitmen at the 2010 CHL Import Draft. The Bratislava, Slovakia native has played 10 professional seasons between Slovakia and Finland.

Kessy resigns with Hershey Bears

Kale Kessy (253GP, 46G, 66A with Medicine Hat, Vancouver, and Kamloops ’08-’13) has signed for a second season with the Hershey Bears of the AHL. Originally a fourth-round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes in 2011, Kessy has seven seasons of professional hockey under his belt. The Shaunavon, SK native played in 24 games with the Bears in 2019-20, piling up 102 penalty minutes.

Bowles returns to Germany3 league with EC Hannover

Parker Bowles (231GP, 88G, 136A with Tri-City ’11-’16) has returned to the Germany3 league, signing with EC Hannover Indians. 2020-21 will be his fourth season overseas, having played last season with Orli Znojmo of the EBEL. He scored six goals and added 18 assists in 47 games.

Elson signs extension with Detriot Red Wings

Turner Elson (253GP, 72G, 79A with Red Deer ’09-’13) has signed a one-year extension with the Detroit Red Wings. Elson was undrafted to the NHL but has played parts of nine seasons between the three top North American hockey leagues (NHL, AHL, ECHL). The New Westminster, BC native played his third season with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2019-20, scoring nine goals and adding 13 assists in 61 games.

Royals sign 2020 3rd round pick

Victoria signed another prospect from the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft to a WHL Standard Player Agreement, this time it was third-round selection Anthony Wilson. Wilson spent last season with the Northern Alberta Bantam Prep team, scoring nine times and adding 18 assists in 29 contests. He is signed to play with the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA team of the SMAAAHL in 2020-21.

Olsen signs with EC Kassel Huskies

Ryan Olsen (275GP, 84G, 82A with Saskatoon and Kelowna ’09-’14) has signed with EC Kassel Huskies of the DEL2 in Germany. The 2012 sixth-round draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets, Olsen has played six professional seasons split between the AHL and ECHL, with a short stint in the EBEL mixed in. Olsen is a Kelly Cup Champion with the Colorado Eagles, in 2017-18. Last season the Delta, BC native played for the San Antonio Rampage, scoring seven goals and adding eight assists in 57 games.
