Two join the centennial club

Vancouver Giants goaltender David Tendeck appeared in his 100th WHL game Sunday afternoon in a 4-3 shootout loss to Kelowna. The Arizona Coyotes prospect sports a 46-40-4-3 record with a 3.27 GAA and a .898 save percentage in his WHL career, all spent with Vancouver.

Kootenay ICE defenceman Chase Hartje skated in his 100th WHL game in a 4-1 loss to Calgary. The Bemidji, Minnesota native has recorded eight goals and 35 assists for 43 points in his WHL career with stops in Moose Jaw, Brandon and Kootenay. He has six points in seven games with the ICE since being acquired for a 2019 third round pick at the January 10th trade deadline.

Rockets prospect debuts

Kelowna Rockets defensive prospect Noah Dorey made his WHL debut,being a +1, in a shootout win over the Vancouver Giants on Sunday. The Surrey, BC native was drafted in the fourth round, 88th overall in this past bantam draft and has played this season with the West Vancouver Academy Prep team in the CSSHL where he has 12 points in 24 games.

Seattle defenceman scores first

Seattle Thunderbirds defenceman Tyrel Bauer scored his first WHL goal in a 5-2 win over Kamloops. The 16-year-old was the Thunderbirds’ second round pick in 2017 and now has nine points in 44 games this season.

Three Stars of the Night

1st Star: Portland’s Joel Hofer stopped all 37 shots he faced in a 3-0 win over Lethbridge.

2nd Star: Kelowna’s Kyle Topping scored twice and added an assist in a 4-3 win over the Giants.

3rd Star: Seattle’s Matthew Wedman had two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win.
