The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Winnipeg ICE forward Michal Teply to an entry-level contract. The Blackhawks selected Teply in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Since Teply was drafted before joining the ICE he is eligible to play in the AHL next season even though he is only 18 years old. A fourth overall selection in last year’s CHL Import Draft, Teply had 29 goals and 34 assists in 53 games becoming one of the fastest rising players in the CHL last season. ICE fans will certainly be hoping he returns to the WHL next season.
