The Edmonton Oil Kings have signed first-round pick Dawson Seitz to his WHL Education Contract. Seitz was limited to just seven games in 2019-20 due to injury but was a goal-per-game player finishing with seven goals. You can check out his DUBNetwork Scouting profile here.

The Winnipeg ICE signed 2020 third-round pick Aiden Oiring to his WHL Education contract. Oiring was the captain of the Calgary Royals in the Alberta Bantam AAA league’s in 2019-20 and led the league with 28 goals and 45 assists in just 32 games, taking home the league’s Most Oustanding Forward and Player awards.

The AHL’s Bakersfield Condors have signed James Hamblin (323 GP, 115 G, 168 A with the Medicine Hat Tigers from 2015-20) to a two-year AHL contract. The Condors are the AHL affiliate of Hamblin’s hometown Edmonton Oilers and there’s no doubt Hamblin would love to get an opportunity to suit up with them.

Mikhail Fisenko (179 GP, 32 G, 79 A with the Vancouver Giants and Calgary Hitmen from 2008-2011) signed a two-year contract extension with Ak Bars Kazan in the KHL. Last season was his first with the club and he finished with seven goals and six assists in 40 games.

Martin Gernat (83 GP, 12 G, 56 A with the Edmonton Oil Kings from 2011-13) has signed a one-year contract extension with Trinec in the Czech Republic. Last season the former Edmonton Oilers fifth-rounder had six goals and a team-leading 28 assists in 50 games.

Also signing an extension with Trinec is forward Matej Stransky (213 GP, 93 G, 99 A with the Saskatoon Blades from 2010-13). The former Dallas Stars sixth-rounder led the team in goals (23) and points (45) in 52 games in 2019-20.
