The Everett Silvertips have signed Beau Courtney to a WHL Education Contract. The native of Parker, Colorado was drafted by Everett in the eighth-round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. As a 2004-born prospect, Courtney will be eligible to join the Silvertips full-time for the 2020-21 season. The 16-year-old forward had 16 goals and six assists in 16 games with the Colorado Thunderbirds this season.

The Portland Winterhawks handed out their team awards on Tuesday on Twitter. They started off by naming Tyson Kozak the Rookie of the Year. Also winning awards:
- Seth Jarvis (Team MVP, Booster Club Fan Favourite)
- Johnny Ludvig (Best Defensive Player and Winterhawk Award co-winner for character, leadership, heart, and soul)
- Lane Gilliss (Scholastic Player of the Year)
- Kade Nolan (Sportsmanship and Ability Award co-winner)
- Mason Mannek (Sportsmanship and Ability Award co-winner)
- Joel Hofer (Winterhawk Award co-winner for character, leadership, heart, and soul)
