2005-born defenseman Carter Savage has signed with the Tri-City Americans. The sixth-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft played last season with Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep G of the CSSBHL. He scored three goals and added 12 assists in 30 games with the club.

Connor Bedard, the WHL’s first-ever exceptional status player, has chosen to head to Sweden for training until the beginning of the WHL season. The Regina Pats’ first overall pick has the blessing of the organization to continue his training overseas. The 15-year-old Bedard will join the HV71 junior squad. Last season with West Van Academy Prep, Bedard had 43 goals and 41 assists in 36 games.

Blake Orban (254GP, 16G, 50A with Vancouver and Edmonton ’10-’15) has signed with DEAC of Erste Liga in Hungary. It is his second season overseas, having played last year with MAC Ujbuda of Slovakia’s top professional league. Orban is an Ed Chynoweth Cup and Memorial Cup champion with the 2013-14 Edmonton Oil Kings.
Edmundson traded to Canadiens

Joel Edmundson (190GP, 15G, 53A with Moose Jaw and Kamloops ’10-’13) has been traded from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Montreal Canadiens for a fifth-round draft pick at the 2020 NHL Draft. Edmundson has played 337 NHL games over five seasons, the Canadiens will be his third NHL team. He is a Stanley Cup winner with the St. Louis Blues in 2018-19.
