As part of the 2020 capital budget for Red Deer, Westerner Park Centrium was granted $3 million to complete upgrades to the facility. The upgrades included new seats, a modernized score clock, updated dressing rooms, and more. A video can be viewed at the link from RDNewsNow.

Beck Warm (150GP, 71-56-9-4, 3.15GAA, .908sv% with Tri-City and Edmonton ’14-’20) has signed with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. It is the first professional contract for the Whistler, BC native who was not a WHL Bantam draft pick, nor a selection at the NHL draft.

Cole Ully (256GP, 95G, 142A with Kamloops ’10-’15) has signed to return to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. Last season with the Stingrays Ully scored 12 goals and added 36 assists in 53 games. Ully was a 2013 fifth-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars and has spent the last six seasons split between the AHL and ECHL.

Cameron Hebig (264GP, 98G, 127A, with Saskatoon and Regina ’13-’18) has signed with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Hebig played last season split between the Bakersfield Condors (31GP, 3G, 4A) and the Wichita Thunder (20GP, 6G, 11A). Hebig was a member of the 2017-18 Regina Pats team that hosted the 100th Memorial Cup.

Mitch Callahan (204GP, 57G, 71A with Kelowna ’08-’11) has signed with Rodovre Mighty Bulls of Denmark’s top professional league. Last season Callahan played 25 games for Augsburger Pathers of the DEL scoring once and adding four assists. In 2008-09, Callahan was on the Kelowna Rockets team that won the Ed Chynoweth Cup and went on to play in the Memorial Cup. He is a two-time Calder Cup (AHL) Champion, both wins coming with the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Whittier, CA, USA resident also won a bronze medal at the 2010-11 IIHF World Junior Championships with Team USA.
Okuliar returns to HK Dukla Trencin
Oliver Okuliar (55GP, 33G, 35A with Lethbridge ’19-’20) has switched teams in the Slovakian Hockey League. Moving from HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas following six games, Okuliar joins his former club HK Dukla Trencin. Okuliar scored three goals and added five assists in his time with HK 32 Liptovky Miulas.
