The Regina Pats have acquired 19-year-old forward Caiden Daley from the Brandon Wheat Kings for 19-year-old forward Duncan Pierce. Both players have matching stat totals this season with two assists in 10 games so far. Of the two, Daley has more WHL experience with 18 goals and 38 assists in 212 WHL games compared to Pierce’s eight goals and 16 assists in 94 WHL games.

Kamloops Blazers defenseman Trevor Thurston has been handed a four-game suspension for this play on Victoria Royals defenseman Noah Lamb. He will be eligible to return when Kamloops plays hosts to the Kelowna Rockets on November 11th.

Portland Winterhawks forward Jake Gricius and Lethbridge Hurricanes defenseman Koltrane Wilson were named to the CHL Team of the Week for the week of October 21-27. Gricius posted three goals and four assists in two games while Wilson scored a goal and added four assists across three games.

In an odd turn of events, the London Knights have acquired 1999-born Dylan Myskiw (85 GP with the Victoria Royals, Brandon Wheat Kings, and Edmonton Oil Kings) and a conditional 2024 OHL Draft Pick for goaltender Jordan Kooy. After being released by the Oil Kings earlier this season, Myskiw was reported to be training with the Knights but was claimed off overage waivers by the Sarnia Sting before the Knights were able to add him to their roster.

Josh Mahura (186 GP, 41 G, 90 A with the Red Deer Rebels and Regina Pats) tied an Anaheim Ducks franchise record for most points and assists in a single game by a rookie defenseman with three in a 7-4 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Robin Bawa (307 GP, 118 G, 170 A with the Kamloops Junior Oilers/Blazers) will be inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame as a pioneer. Bawa was the first South Asian to play in the NHL when he suited up for the Washington Capitals in the 1999-2000 season.

Ty Rattie (269 GP, 151 G, 197 A with the Portland Winterhawks) has signed with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the KHL for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. Rattie had played 16 games with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl tallying three goals and six assists before being released.
