Americans loan Brown to Salmon Arm (BCHL) Silverbacks

Mitchell Brown (136GP, 6G, 23A with Tri-City ’16-’20) has been loaned to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL. Brown has previous experience in the BCHL with the Silverbacks, having played one game in the 2016-17 season. Brown is expected in Americans training camp after Christmas.

Powell River Kings sign Van de Leest on loan

Jackson Van de Leest (174GP, 5G, 50A with Calgary ’16-’20) has been loaned to the Powell River Kings of the BCHL. Van de Leest has prior experience in the BCHL as a member of the Penticton Vees. He played five games with the team in 2016-17. The Kelowna, BC native is expected in Calgary for training camp following Christmas.

Blades prospect signs with Jr.B Port Moody Panthers

Sammy May is an 11th round pick of the Saskatoon Blades from the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. Last season May scored seven goals and added 15 assists in 31 games with the Greater Vancouver Canadians U18 AAA squad.

Pulock re-signs with NY Islanders in two-year deal

Ryan Pulock (261GP, 64G, 146A with Brandon ’10-’14) has re-signed with the New York Islanders. The Islanders drafted Pulock in the first round of the 2013 NHL Draft and he has remained within the organization since. The 26-year-old defenseman is coming off his best NHL season to date, scoring 10 goals and adding 25 assists in 68 games. He also had 10 points in the Islanders 22 game playoff run.

Tokarski signs two-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres

Dustin Tokarski (129GP, 77-39-1-6, 2.18GAA, .935 sv% with Spokane ’06-’09) has signed a two-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres. Tokarski was a fifth-round selection by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2008 NHL Draft. He has seven seasons of NHL experience, playing in 34 contests. It is expected that the 31-year-old goaltender will start the season with the Rochester Americans. Tokarski is a Memorial Cup Champion as well as a two-time Calder Cup Champion (AHL).

Mavericks ink Estephan

Giorgio Estephan (327GP, 131G, 194A with Lethbridge and Swift Current ’12-’18) has signed with the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL. Estephan was a sixth-round selection of the Buffalo Sabres in 2015 and has split his playing time between the AHL’s Toronto Marlies and ECHL’s Newfoundland Grizzlies over the last two seasons. He has won an Ed Chynoweth Cup as well as the Kelly Cup (ECHL).

The Vancouver Giants have announced they are on the hunt for an assistant coach.

Rockets draft pick commits to University of Maine

Robert Kincaid was a ninth-round selection of the Kelowna Rockets in 2017 and has committed to the University of Maine for the 2021-22 season. The18-year-old  Barrhead, AB native has been plying his trade with the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL over the past two seasons.
