Mikhalchuk receives work authorization

Vladislav Mikhalchuk (168GP, 51G, 64A with Prince George ’17-’20) has received his work authorization, therefore allowing him to be added to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) roster. The team then placed him on the reserve list.

Kehler joins Jets on professional try-out

Cole Kehler (141GP, 66-51-10, 3.31GAA, .899sv% with Kamloops and Portland ’13-’18) has signed a professional try-out with the Winnipeg Jets. With the NHL season having some rule changes regarding a taxi squad and the number of goalies, the Jets found it prudent to bring Kehler in for a try-out. Last season with the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) Kehler was 14-10-4 with a 3.05 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.

Wishart joins SC Csikszereda

Ty Wishart (262GP, 33G, 128A with Prince George and Moose Jaw ’04-’08) has signed a contract with SC Csikszereda of Erste Liga. Last season Wishart played for Eispiraten Crimmitschau of the DEL2 in Germany. He posted seven goals and 16 assists in 31 games. The first-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2006 has 26 games of NHL experience.

Hammond joins Frederikshavn White Hawks

Mike Hammond (1GP, 0G, 0A with Kelowna ’06-’07) has changed teams in Metal Ligaen in Denmark. The change comes following 20 games with Odense Bulldogs where Hammond had nine goals and 14 assists.w

Fowlie earns extension with ASC Corona Brasov

Cody Fowlie (208GP, 38G, 59A with Everett and Kelowna ’10-’13) has signed an extension with ASC Corona Brasov of the Erste Liga. It is Fowlie’s fourth professional season and second overseas.
