Leafs sign Kral and Rubins to entry-level contracts

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed graduating defenseman Filip Kral (154 GP, 31 G, 89 A with the Spokane Chiefs from 2017-20) and defenseman Kristians Rubins (109 GP, 10 G, 41 A with the Medicine Hat Tigers from 2016-18) to entry-level contracts. Kral was drafted by the Leafs in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft while Rubins was an undrafted free agent. Rubins had spent the last two years split between the AHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and ECHL’s Newfoundland Growlers scoring four goals and adding 31 assists in 118 games.

The Swift Current Broncos will be hosting a four-hour call-in show on April 9th with Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dean Brockman, Chairman of the Board of Directors Trent McCleary and Director of Business Operations Nathan Macdonald. Acolatse signs extension in Germany

Sena Acolatse (322 GP, 45 G, 109 A with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Saskatoon Blades and Prince George Cougars from 2006-11) has signed a one-year contract extension with the Straubing Tigers in Germany. In 2019-20 he had 10 goals and 20 assists in 47 games with Straubing.
Salmonsson signs an extension in Sweden
Johannes Salmonsson (Spokane, 2005-2006) signed two-year contract extension with Oskarshamn (Sweden, SHL). 50 GP, 13+11, 17:12 average TOI. Tied for team lead in goals, second on team in points.

Johannes Salmonsson (54 GP, 12 G, 15 A with the Spokane Chiefs from 2005-06) has signed a two-year contract extension with Oskarshamn in Sweden. Last season he recorded 13 goals and 11 assists in 50 games.
