Forward Parker Kelly (273GP, 93G, 95A with Prince Albert ’15-’19) scored his first NHL goal as the Ottawa Senators beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime 4-3. Kelly’s goal was the third goal of the night for the Senators and came at 12:12 of the second period. It was his first NHL game. Kelly was a member of the 2018-19 WHL Champion Prince Albert Raiders.

Defenseman Montana Onyebuchi (257GP, 19G, 56A with Everett and Kamloops) has signed with the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL. Onyebuchi played 20 games with the Blazers this season, registering two goals and 10 assists. He is a former third-round pick by the Silvertips at the 2015 WHL Draft.

Kamloops Blazers 2003-born defenseman Logan Bairos scored his first WHL goal last night in a 4-0 win over the Prince George Cougars. His goal came at 9:54 of the second period and made the score 2-0. Bairos is a former second-round pick of the Blazers at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

Kelowna Rockets 2003-born defenseman Noah Dorey scored his first WHL goal in the team’s 3-2 win over the Victoria Royals. Dorey’s goal came at 16:12 of the first period and made it 2-0 Rockets. Dorey is a former fourth-round pick of the Rockets at the 2018 WHL Draft.

Forward Garrett Festerling (248GP, 62G, 119A with Portland and Regina ’03-’04) has signed a contract extension with Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the DEL in Germany. In his second season with the team, Festerling scored eight goals and added 11 assists in 32 games. He also scored three goals and had two assists in nine playoff games.

Forward Trevor Cheek (195GP, 65G, 69A with Calgary, Vancouver, and Edmonton ’10-’13) has signed with Kristianstads IK of HockeyAllsvenskan in Sweden. Cheek played the 2020-21 season with the Rodovre Mighty Bulls of Denmark’s top professional league, scoring 20 goals and adding 17 assists in 43 games.

Forward Radovan Bondra (121GP, 47G, 46A with Vancouver and Prince George ’15-’18) has signed with HC Vitkovice of the Czech league. Bondra, 24, played 2020-21 with HKM Zvolen of Slovakia, scoring 26 goals and adding 25 assists through 49 regular-season games. He also added five assists through nine playoff games. Bondra was a fifth-round 2015 NHL Draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks and the eighth overall pick at the 2015 CHL Import Draft by the Giants.

Forward Dario Meyer (56GP, 13G, 13A with Edmonton ’15-’16) has signed with EHC Kloten of the SL in Switzerland. This comes on the heels of a 2020-21 season split between HC Davos (19GP, 2G, 2A) and EHC Kloten (loan 20GP, 5G, 3A). Meyer was a second-round 2015 CHL Import Draft pick of the Oil Kings.
Forward Juraj Simek (58GP, 28G, 29A with Brandon ’06-’07) signed an extension with EHC Kloten. In 2020-21 Simek scored nine goals and added six assists through 42 games. In 10 playoff games, he had one goal and two assists. Simek was the 23rd overall pick at the 2006 CHL Import Draft.

Forward Mark McNeill (276GP, 97G, 146A with Prince Albert ’08-’13) has departed HC Vita Hasten following one season. In 2020-21 McNeill scored five goals and added 10 assists in 28 games. The Chicago Blackhawks selected McNeill in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft. He played one game with the Blackhawks in 2015-16.
