Jeannot scores first NHL goal

Forward Tanner Jeannot (267GP, 77G, 93A with Moose Jaw ’14-’18) scored his first NHL goal in the Nashville Predators 7-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was Jeannot’s third NHL game. Undrafted, Jeannot signed an entry-level contract with the Predators on April 2, 2018. Jeannot has also played five games with the Florida Everblades (3G,3A) and 13 games with the Chicago Wolves (10G,11A) this season.

Woo scores first professional goal

Defenseman Jett Woo (242GP, 33G, 127A with Moose Jaw and Calgary ’15-’20) scored his first professional goal in the Utica Comets 3-2 win over the Syracuse Crunch last night. Woo’s goal came in his 13th professional game. A former second-round 2018 NHL Draft pick of the Vancouver Canucks, Woo was signed to an entry-level contract on March 16, 2019.

Mikkelson leaves MODO Hockey

Defenseman Brendan Mikkelson (226GP, 16G, 54A with Portland and Vancouver ’03-’07) has left Modo Hockey of HockeyAllsvenskan in Sweden. Mikkelson played 45 games for MODO in 2020-21, scoring four times and adding nine assists. Mikkelson is a former second-round pick of the Anaheim Ducks at the 2005 NHL Draft. He has 131 games of NHL experience as well as 329 games of AHL experience. He won the 2005-06 Ed Chynoweth Cup as a member of the Vancouver Giants and went on to win the Memorial Cup the following season.
