The Winnipeg ICE have signed 2019 CHL Import Draft Picks Michal Teply and Nino Kinder to WHL Player Agreements.
Teply was selected by the ICE with the fourth overall pick in the 2019 CHL Import Draft and was a fourth-round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 2001-born forward played in the Czech2 League for HC Benatky nad Jizerou in 2018-19 and saw action in 23 games registering four goals and six assists.
The ICE selected Kinder with the 64th overall pick in this year’s CHL Import Draft from Eisbaren Juniors Berlin U20 of Deutsche Nachwuchs Liga U20. The 2001-born forward, Kinder played 33 games and posted 17 goals and 24 assists. Kinder was invited to the Los Angeles Kings’ development camp in June of this year as an undrafted free agent.

The Everett Silvertips have signed 2019 CHL Import Draft pick Michal Gut to a WHL Player Agreement. Gut is a 2002-born forward who was selected with the 57th overall pick in this year’s draft. He suited up for Pirati Chomutov of the Czech U19 League in 2018-19 registering 14 goals and 20 assists in 33 games. He is currently representing the Czech Republic as they prepare for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August and scored the game-winning goal in an exhibition game against Switzerland on Wednesday.

Hockey Canada has opened the development camp for their U-17 team with three games on Wednesday. Keagan Slaney (Edmonton Oil Kings) was the lone WHL prospect to register a goal on day one of tournament action. Teams will return to the ice tomorrow with three more games slated to take place.

Joey Perricone (211 GP with the Moose Jaw Warriors) has signed on with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL to be the team’s new goaltending coach. Perricone, who has coaching experience with the QMJHL’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Moncton Wildcats, is Moose Jaw’s franchise leader in wins (93), shutouts (10) and games played (211).

The Wichita Thunder of the ECHL have re-signed forward Lane Bauer (261 GP, 97 G, 110 A with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Kamloops Blazers) for the 2019-20 season. Bauer has played two seasons for the Thunder, recording 16 goals and 39 assists in 118 games.

The Glasgow Clan of the EIHL have re-signed defenseman Travis Ehrhardt (256 GP, 20 G, 99 A with the Moose Jaw Warriors and Portland Winterhawks) to a one-year contract extension. Last year with the Clan, he recorded five goals and 26 assists in 55 games.
