Edmonton Oil Kings captain Trey Fix-Wolansky earned his 100th point of the season with a second period goal against Kootenay on Sunday. The Columbus Blue Jackets draft pick is currently on a nine game point streak where he has 16 points (7G, 9A) and also broke the franchise record for assists in a season this weekend with his 64th of the year. He has 36 goals and 64 assists in 62 games this season, just five points shy of the franchise record for points in a season.

Moose Jaw Warriors forward Tristin Langan scored his 50th goal of the season in a 5-3 loss to Saskatoon. The overage forward is on a five game point streak, recording nine points (5G, 4A) in that span and is now up to 106 points (50G, 56A) in 64 games this season which is four points behind Portland’s Joachim Blichfeld for the most in the WHL.

Former Regina Pats, Medicine Hat Tigers and Moose Jaw Warriors forward Dryden Hunt scored his first NHL goal in a 6-1 win over Detroit. The Cranbrook native was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent at the tail end of an outstanding overage season where he had 116 points (58G, 58A) in 72 games with Moose Jaw. He has skated in 33 NHL games with Florida, collecting a goal and five assists and during a five-year WHL career he put up 249 points (117G, 132A) in 269 games with Regina, Medicine Hat, and Moose Jaw.

Edmonton Oil Kings goaltender Todd Scott stopped all 18 shots he faced to earn his first WHL shutout in a 4-0 win over the Kootenay ICE. In 16 games this season, Scott owns a 10-3-2-0 record with a 2.91 GAA and a .903 save percentage along with the shutout. In 49 career WHL games split between Vancouver and Edmonton, the Albertville, Minnesota is 22-15-5-1 with a 3.66 GAA, an .883 save percentage and one shutout.

Edmonton Oil Kings defenceman Conner McDonald set a new franchise record for goals in a season by a defenceman with is 18th of the campaign in their victory over Kootenay on Sunday. The previous record was held by Cody Corbett who had 17 goals in 65 games during the 2013/14 season. The 19-year-old has 48 points (18G, 30A) in 65 games this season.

Swift Current Broncos captain Tanner Nagel was given a five minute major for charging and a game misconduct for his hit on Prince Albert’s Dante Hannoun. Nagel has been previously suspended once in his WHL career, having served three games “under supplemental discipline”.
