Cougars release statement about CN Centre

In a follow up to yesterday’s Daily Dose, regarding the closure of CN Centre by Prince George city council, the Prince George Cougars released a statement through Business Manager Andy Beesley. In it, Beesley goes on to say that the City of Prince George has assured the organization that the CN Centre will reopen when the appropriate approvals from the BC Health Authority and the WHL have given the go-ahead on a season.

Rockets sign Price

The Rockets announced that they have signed their second-round pick from the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. Caden Price played last season with the Saskatoon Generals of the SAAHL U15 league. The 5-foot-11, 157-pound defenseman scored 31 goals and added 24 assists in 31 games. He also played three games with the Saskatoon Contacts U18 AAA team.

Oil Kings training staff part of NHL Bubble

As part of the NHL’s Hub City initiative to get the Stanley Cup qualifiers played and eventually leading to the awarding of Hockey’s most prestigious trophy, both Rogan Dean and Brian Cheeseman of the Edmonton Oil Kings have joined the bubble to assist with team services.
