Hockey Canada opened its U-18 development camp on Sunday with the first of three Red vs. White games set to take place in Calgary. Prince Albert Raiders forward Jakob Brook was the lone WHL player to hit the scoresheet with a goal while Vancouver Giants forward Justin Sourdif registered two assists in the 4-1 victory for Team White.
Mack joins Cougars as a scout
DubNetwork has learned LinkedIn that Leland Mack has left the Seattle Thunderbirds and will be joining the Prince George Cougars as a scout. Mack has been a coach with Burnaby Winter Club for the last six seasons, most recently serving as the Head Coach of the Bantam Prep team in 2018-19.

25-year-old forward Chandler Stephenson (230 GP, 73 G, 122 A with the Regina Pats) has signed a one-year contract extension with the Washington Capitals. A third-round pick of the Capitals in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Stephenson has played 144 games with Washington recording 11 goals and 18 assists.

Burnaby, B.C. native Luke Lockhart (345 GP, 75 G, 90 A with the Seattle Thunderbirds) has signed a one-year extension with the Kunlun Red Star of the KHL. Lockhart has played 97 games for two seasons with the Red Star and has three goals and 13 assists.

Congratulations go out to WHL alumni Jordan Fransoo (256 GP, 21 G, 57 A with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Victoria Royals) who got married yesterday afternoon. Fransoo last played with the Rosetown Red Wings in the ACHW where he posted two goals and three assists in 13 games.
